My name is Gabrielle Brandão, I'm 13 years old and almost four years of fighting for the rights of the environment and people awareness about the immediate need of restoration and preservation of the planet earth. And that's what I'll talk.

One of the biggest causes of Global Warming and the Greenhouse pollutants are CO ² and CFC. The CO ² is produced from the burning of oil, resulting in the destruction of the ozone layer, oxygen consumption and other frames with negative results. But the CO ² is not just a devastating planet, it also keeps the planet alive, did you know? Well, have you heard about the food chain? So. Shrubs, trees, flowers are "predators" of carbon dioxide, so how to produce food if we don’t have anyone to eat it, for now we are producing too much carbon dioxide, but we are not planting enough trees to consume it and thus causing a negative impact on nature.

Our forests are devastated, we exchange trees for houses, shrubs and flowers for condominiums, apartments, but now we must grow, recover everything, so that carbon dioxide is consumed by the trees, so this way it wouldn’t cause us problems.

We have the right to drive, to produce what we want, and to use oil, but we have a duty to restore what was destroyed and care for not to destroy anymore.

All companies have a duty to know and care for your product, from production to its decomposition.  We are all obliged to take care of our habitat or be extinct, the future is in our hands. I want to care for and cultivate my future, and you?

To help us in this cause we have the Quioto Protocol, which is like a law, that makes producers of CO ² "pay" for the gas they produce. But how so? Farmers must find a way to make that carbon dioxide does not cause problems to the Planet, so they are obliged to plant trees, so these trees will end up with CO ². For this, the industries produces events for reforestation, or sponsor someone to do the reforestation for them, and…
